Our 8,000 sq. ft. studio on Chicago's West Side has been used as a stage and location for 100's of shoots. Equipped with a 30ft. white cyclorama, this space accommodates motion and still shoots of any size.

PARKING

Typically there is abundant free street parking along Carroll. Check for street cleaning signs which occurs between April and November.

LIGHTING

SOUND

  • Space is not soundproof

The street is very industrial and quiet but you can hear intermittent trains, honks, sirens. This is NOT a dedicated sound stage though we have recorded audio many times you should plan on occasional disruptions.

  • Staging Area - Lounge and Kitchen

  • Not Included/Off Limits - Wood Shop, Office, and Art Department.

  • Shooting building exterior is allowed.

$150/hr

Stage Site Map

Weekend rentals are $175/hour, minimum 6 hours. For all shoots exceeding 10 hours, there is an additional $25/hour for each hour of overtime, pro-rated. Flat rate pricing available. Rental does not include any lighting, grip or production gear, that is billed separately.

For all rentals a 50% deposit of the total rental fee (including gear and labor if applicable) is required no less than 24 hours prior to the first shoot day. Final payment due with 10 days of final billing. Checks are preferred. Credit cards will incur a 3% fee

Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

Cleaning Protocol

  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected

  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.

  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.

  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.

  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Protective Gear

Physical Distance

  • Capacity is limited based on state and local guidelines

Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable.

Insurance Requirements

  1. • Proof of valid GENERAL LIABILITY PRODUCTION INSURANCE clearly stating the Producer or Production Company must be issued to Odd Machine Studios before rental may begin. Odd Machine Studios, LLC (or Odd Machine) must be listed as "Additionally Insured" and "Loss Payee" on the certificate.

  2. • The Client will not hold Odd Machine Studios liable for failure to provide services not explicitly covered in this agreement.

  3. • Clients renting Odd Machine Studios are responsible for being in compliance with all local and municipal laws and ordinances and shall hold Odd Machine Studios harmless for violations thereof.

  4. • Commercial General Liability with a minimum limit of $1,000,000.00. Coverage should equal or exceed that provided by the Insurance Services Office Form CG0001 (11-88).

  5. • Coverage with a minimum limit equal to the total replacement value of all equipment (Odd Machine Studios, LLC, yours, and other parties) that will be used in the production/project. The coverage must be provided on "all risk" or "special" form and pay on the basis of "replacement cost". The policy "coverage territory" should be consistent with the location of the production.

  6. • Worker's Compensation Coverage (Subcontractors Only) – for all staff or crewmembers hired by the client that are active during the duration of the rental period working at Odd Machine Studios.
